Antoine D’Agata is a French photographer born in Marseille in 1961. He is one of the most controversial figures in contemporary photography and has never made a secret of his direct and primitive approach to it.
Antoine D’Agata, a member of the Magnum Photos agency since 2002, has always been on the run. Ever since he left his hometown of Marseille as a young punk, he has been driven in his quest for desire and recklessness, attempting to extend his own physical and psychological barriers. Since 2005 D’Agata no longer permanently resides in a single location and works all over the world.
With the exhibition Anticorpi (Antibodies) the visitor is drawn into the world of D’Agata. A complex and diverse world, deeply authentic, and exposed with a stark, unsettling honesty.
