The exhibition Essere è Tessere (Being is Weaving) at Fondazione Stelline in Milan celebrates the 90th anniversary of the textile company Canclini by displaying works from the Canclini collection.
The collection includes modern and contemporary art by internationally acclaimed artists like Arman, Alighiero Boetti, Chiristian Boltansky, Daniel Buren, Christo, Jean Claude, Mario Della Vedova, Dorazio, Jannis Kounellis, Kimsooja, Maria Lai and Andy Warhol.
Many of the works were commissioned by Canclini, often inspired by the world of weaving and sometimes using fabrics that were provided by Canclini.
