MUDEC in Milan presents the exhibition Kandinsky, Knight Errant (Il Cavaliere Errante), with works from the collections of the most important Russian museums.

The title of the exhibition, Knight Errant, refers to the figure of medieval literature who wanders the land in search of adventures to prove his chivalric qualities. It’s a parallel with Kandinsky’s development of symbolic art during the long period before he permanently moved from Russia to Germany in 1921.

On display are not only the works by the artist who is regarded as the pioneer of abstract art, but it is also possible for the visitor to “enter” into his abstract paintings and navigate through them with the aid of multimedia installations.
