La Grande Guerra (The Great War) at Gallerie d’Italia Piazza Scala in Milan is part of the national program of the commemorations of the centenary. It shows the World War One not as an isolated event, but tries to interpret the mood of the period, the dramatic reality of the conflict and its fallout in the years after that will lead to another controversial period in the history of our Italy, that of Fascism.
The exhibition, which includes around 200 works, is divided into four main sections, two of which investigate the years preceding the war, and the other two dedicated to the years during and after the conflict.
