Don’t miss the view inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II from above

Leonardo3 – The World of Leonardo is a temporary museum at the entrance of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on the side of Piazza della Scala. The visitor can discover the world of Leonardo da Vinci, both in his role as an artist and as an inventor.

On display are working models of machines designed by Leonardo, like a submarine, a mechanical eagle, a mechanical dragonfly and a rapid-fire crossbow, as well as reconstructions of his musical instruments. Multimedia stations allow the visitor to interact with more than 200 digital reconstructions.

A digital restoration of one of Leonardo da Vinci’s most famous works The Last Supper gives you a lot of information on the story and the science behind the painting. It’s a great way to prepare yourself for the visit of the real Last Supper, which is only a short distance away.

Audioguides are available in English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
