The exhibition Milano – 1906 ‹ from EXPO to EXPO ‹ 2015 at the National Science and Technology Museum reflects on how the city has evolved during the 109 years that separate the two EXPO events held in Milan.
The story is told through images and consists of two parts. The first part is based on photographs from the archive of the Touring Club Italiano and is called La Città Che Nasce (A City is Born). It shows how Milan faced the future of Italy, that of industrial spaces, of renewed public places, the dedication to work, study, sport and culture.
The second part is called Prospettive, Volti e Chiaroscuri (Prospects, Faces and Chiaroscuros) and consists of 20 large-format images by Italian photographer Francesco Radino, showing the urban environments of modern-day Milan.
