La Fabbrica del Vapore
April 2, 2016
September 12, 2016
The exhibition New Craft at La Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan explores new methods for production and design that are becoming available due to technological innovation.
Easy to use 3D printers, NCR machines, sensors and software are redefining the meaning and value of craft know-how. Consumers, instead of being mindless and passive, are the new artisans of products that are free from the assembly line and centered around the economics of variety and customisation.
New Craft is part of the XXI Triennale International Exhibition, an event on art, design and architecture spread out over different locations in Milan. The 2016 edition has the title 21st Century. Design After Design and is the first to be organised in 20 years. With a single ticket you get access to all exhibitions.
The exhibition at La Fabbrica del Vapore is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:30 to 20:30.
