Triennale di Milano

The exhibition The Multicultural Metropolis at the Triennale di Milano revolves around multi-ethnic societies and how they result in a gradual standardisation.
The coexistence of racial and cultural minorities in multi-ethnic societies is often perceived as an enriching process. But it is often overlooked that this process tends to absorb the complexity of our society, resulting in the loss of traditions and memories that will be lost forever.
The Multicultural Metropolis is part of the XXI Triennale International Exhibition, an event on art, design and architecture spread out over different locations in Milan. The 2016 edition has the title 21st Century. Design After Design and is the first to be organised in 20 years. With a single ticket you get access to all exhibitions.
